Two of our situations are babies who have been exposed to drugs and/or alcohol during pregnancy. I got the best advice when we were considering our comfort level with drugs and alcohol. A fellow adoptive mom told me to schedule a consultation with a pediatrician to ask about different drugs and their side effects. We did and felt much more comfortable with certain exposure levels and felt much more educated about how to handle different issues and with what we could handle. If you're thinking of considering a baby born with drugs or alcohol exposure, I highly recommend seeing a pediatrician so you can make an informed decision:)

As always, feel free to contact me via email karalee@christianadoptionconsultants.com if you have any questions or are interested in any of the above situations.
